Having a personal practice (in my case, Ashtanga Yoga) has been a powerful, life-changing tool.   Developing a personal practice relies on, as well as leads to, self-discipline, commitment, patience, acceptance, mental and physical strength.  Before adopting yoga as a lifestyle, those things were very foreign to me.  True change happens when you are able to sit with discomfort and observe.  Through diligent observation comes insight.  New pathways in the brain can be formed while habits and beliefs are subject to change and growth.  Mindfulness is what is being practiced and is what opens the door to perceiving one's relationship to pain and lack of pain differently, effectively loosening the grip that these feelings hold over one's existence.

Balance is having the strength to support your body, to stretch and calm your thought processes to achieve a lifestyle that inspires more harmonious action. The space you have is already enough to get started.  You simply need to redesign your relationship to what your body already wants, Balance. I can help you steer yourself in that direction.
